What’s better than a photographic safari through the Australian Outback? How about doing one by private jet?
The Australian Outback has to be one of the world’s most unique landscapes. Barren, baked red yet breathtakingly beautiful, the Red Centre of Australia has inspired countless authors, explorers, and poets and now you can explore this majestic muse in style, camera in hand.
The 14-day Frontiers International Travel Photographic Safari across the Australian Outback by private jet includes stops at the Flinders Ranges, iconic Uluru, the dramatic Kimberley region, and sacred Arnhem Land. The June 20-July 3 trip will be hosted by professional photographer Ewen Bell and starts at AU$12,275 (US$8,688) per person.
The tour uses an Outback Jet (which is technically a turboprop plane) that can cruise at speeds of over 300 knots and has the ability to land on short, remote runways. Its superior capabilities provide unrivalled access to wilderness areas, cattle stations, and other remote parts of Australia, where just guests will stay at unique accommodations, including remote lodges and tented camps.
Other highlights of the journey include helicopter shoots at Uluru and Purnululu National Park; a visit to a 200,000-acre cattle station; an afternoon with the Warlukurlangu artists of Yuendumu; and one-on-one photography workshops with Bell.
