Microsoft has upped the ante with its new Hololens 2 VR headset.
Everyone loves a bit of predictive sci-fi, from Iron Man swiping through projected 3D files projected to sharks with freakin’ laser beams attached to their heads.
VR For Today
Well, the future is now gentlemen. Microsoft has just unveiled the Hololens 2, the new and improved model of its groundbreaking smart headset from 2016.
Virtual reality is really taking the world by storm, but other models like the Oculus Rift are overly bulky and focus either on gaming, or having a virtual porn-star sit on your lap – what is the world coming to? Fortunately, Microsoft has developed a lighter, more advanced headset for a more noble pursuit.
A Flexible Design
The Hololens 2 VR headset is designed to augment reality within the professional sphere, from construction sites and boardroom meetings to factory floors, operating rooms and classrooms. Now you can enjoy real-time visualisations of everything from architectural measurements and real-time meetings to a fully-detailed human body (although we know you’ll probably just use it for porn).
Microsoft has addressed many of the issues of the original model: its restricted field of view has been more than doubled, offering fuller immersion; a new “time-of-flight” depth sensor with built-in AI enables direct manipulation of the holograms in front of you; and eye-tracking sensors mean that you’ll avoid having to crane your neck like Frankenstein.
Made for Every Day Enjoyment
