Live music returns to Hong Kong with Clockenflap Presents’ Long Time Now See all-day showcase.
It’s been a long year starved of almost all we hold dear, from late-night dining and happy hour to international travel but it seems the world is finally reaching for the light that is the end of the Covid pandemic, and that means the return of live music after more than a year.
Next month, Clockenflap Presents, the live music series from the team behind Hong Kong’s biggest annual music and arts festival, gets down and dirty in Mongkok with Long Time No See, an aptly-named day-time music showcase of local established and emerging talent.
The September 18 event will take place at MacPherson Stadium in Mongkok and will feature an eclectic lineup of Hong Kong’s best musical talents, including YellowPeril (featuring veteran rapper and LMF founder member MC Yan plus Chef etc), breakthrough acts like Anna hisbbuR and Charming Way, and a full-band set from acclaimed singer-songwriter cehryl.
Other acts to look out for include indie-rockers Charming Way; female rap act Luna is a Bep; Science Noodles (at top); and jazzy rap artist Triple G (above).
Can we hear some noise?
