The new Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio evolve in terms of style and technology yet stay true to the brand’s DNA.
Alfa Romeo is a brand you might not hear about as much as the other marques here in Asia, but that doesn’t mean it’s shied away from what it does and has for over a century. Established in Milan in 1910, the company has long tapped into its racing credentials to produce sexy little road-ready cars, the newest of which are the latest versions of the award-winning Giulia and Stelvio.

These two award-winning models have been recognised for their perfect weight distribution, best-in-class driving dynamics, top-of-the-line technological and motor solutions, and the timeless design that has created a loyal following. Now that distinct take on Italian design has been made even more seductive and contemporary on both models, with stylistic interventions being made on their fronts to create a clear and strong family feeling with the Tonale.
Since the beginning of its history, Alfa Romeo has followed a “Top-down” type of development system, where the best-performing car in the range, the Quadrifoglio, is the reference even for versions with less powerful engines.

The fronts of the new Giulia and Stelvio have been given a new look. The front and lower grilles of the two main air ducts have been given a unique finish to reinterpret the famous and distinct Trilobo grille in a contemporary style. At the front, you’ll also see the 3 + 3 Full-LED Adaptive Matrix headlights, which make their debut on both models.
The three modules make up the unique frontline of the new Giulia and Stelvio and ensure the best lighting conditions, thanks to the introduction of AN Adaptive Front Lighting System that constantly adjusts the dipped beam headlights based on the speed and driving conditions; and Glare-Free High Beam Segmented Technology, which, in poor lighting conditions automatically detects both directions of traffic to avoid blinding other drivers.
In addition, the new Stelvio features new clear lens tail lamps, while those on the new Giulia come with a smoked lens with a glossy black finish.
Within, riders will discover a completely digital instrument panel with its historic ‘telescopic’ design and which includes a 12.3-inch TFT screen where all the vehicle information and parameters related to autonomous driving technologies can be accessed. The cluster can be configured into three layouts: Evolved, Relax and Heritage.
The sporty dynamic behaviour of the new Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio is rooted in its “Giorgio” platform, which was initially envisioned to underpin the high-performance Quadrifoglio. It utilizes a wide range of ultra-light materials like aluminium and carbon, taken directly from the world of racing. With its patented technological solutions, “Giorgio” delivers a lower centre gravity as well as a near-perfect 50/50 weight distribution.

In order to maximise the reduction of unsuspended masses, the entire Alfa Romeo range has a front axle braking system with aluminium callipers that improve wheel-road contact. This has been coupled with an Integrated Braking System (IBS), which makes its global premiere on the Alfa Romeo Giulia, and provides an electromechanical brake-by-wire system that guarantees an instantaneous response and significant weight optimisation.
The Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio also feature the Alfa D.N.A selector, which allows the driver to modify the car’s dynamic behaviour with three modes: Dynamic, Natural and an Advanced Efficiency mode which maximises energy saving and minimises emissions levels.
To mark the brand’s return to Hong Kong and Macau with Azzurri Automobile Limited, the marque has released a new special edition of the Giulia GTS Q2 and Stelvio GTS Q4.
The Alfa Romeo Giulia GTS Q2 and Stelvio GTS Q4 both feature a 2.0-litre turbo engine that delivers 280 horsepower and 400Nm of torque, 0-100 km/h in 5.7 seconds, top speed at 240km/h and 230km/h respectively. The Q2 and Q4 designations refer to the drivetrain layout, with the Giulia GTS featuring rear-wheel drive and the Stelvio GTS featuring all-wheel drive.
