Need to get your boss or father-in-law on side? Nothing says “please don’t fire me before bonus season” quite like The Singleton’s Paragon of Time 53-Year-Old Vintage Single Malt Scotch Whisky.
Part of The Singleton of Dufftown’s (yes, that’s an actual place) Paragon of Time Collection, the Paragon of Time 53-Year-Old Vintage Single Malt Scotch Whisky was laid down in 1964 and is the distillery’s oldest whisky to date.
Matured in a single hogshead cask and bottled at 40.6% ABV, the first release of the new collection is a magnificent whisky that captures the distillery’s character without overpowering it. With touches of rose water, tropical fruit and berries on the nose, followed by dried figs and a touch of toffee on the palate, this is supreme Scotch single malt whisky that you would be forgiven for not wanting to share with just anyone.
Only 117 of this collector’s dram will be released, each presented in a captivating crystal decanter, housed inside an equally impressive wooden case, and each paired with a signed certificate of ownership from The Singleton’s master of malts, Maureen Robinson, who found the original lost cask. All that for only US$32,400 a bottle.
