Hot on the tails of its Vol 1 Session, Shelter Bali will host its Shelter Sessions Vol 2 on June 10, welcoming acclaimed chefs Stephen Moore and Andrew Walsh.
There’s a lot happening at Shelter Hong Kong. This weekend Shelter Bali’s Pererenan outlet hosts Vol 1 of its Shelter Street Sessions, a series of unique bartender-driven events, with mixologists Marek Vojcarcik and Eugene Tolmach curating a bespoke cocktail menu featuring innovative creations and all-time favourites.

And nipping at the bar boys’ heels is Vol 2 of Shelter Sessions, the restaurant’s new chef series (Shelter Sessions: Volume 1 featured chef Ross Magnaye), with chef Stephen Moore (Shelter Bali, Kudeta) and chef Andrew Walsh (Catfish, Singapore) teaming up. On June 10th, from 12 pm, the two chefs will cook an izakaya lunch featuring a unique and unforgettable menu finished with fire.
The menu will showcase the best of Balinese produce with a modern Japanese twist, and feature dishes like wood-fired chicken skin skewer; roasted moon scallops with salmon caviar and gochujang butter; Iberijo pork and foie gras bao with coriander salad and wasabi mayo; grilled Wagyu strip loin, wasabi and watercress; wood-roasted eggplant, miso butter, bonito flakes; and whipped white chocolate with black sesame, nashi pear and lavender.
Bali-bound punters (and let’s be honest, half of Hong Kong and Singapore seem to be on the island these days) can expect a let-loose atmosphere with an element of mischief and fun, as well as a great cocktail programme featuring a cheeky drinking game called Sake Bomb Bingo.
