With the decline of first class and with airlines flying further than ever, premium travel has never been more competitive. Enter the Qatar Airways Q Suite, the airline’s most lavish business class to date.
The airline business is as cut-throat as any other, especially in the Middle East, where just three mega-players battle it out for network dominance and international prestige. Hot on the heels of Emirates’ new-look cocktail lounge aboard the airline’s A380 fleet, rival Qatar Airways has unveiled the Q Suite, its next-generation business class, featuring the first ‘party of four’ seating configuration and the first business class double bed in commercial aviation.

Ushering in a never-before-seen standard in Business Class travel, the customisable patented private suites, named Q Suite, were two years in the making and feature the industry’s first-ever double bed available in Business Class, with privacy panels that stow away, allowing passengers in adjoining seats to create their own private room.

In addition, adjustable panels and movable TV monitors on the centre four seats allow colleagues, friends or families travelling together to transform their space into a private suite, allowing them to work, dine and socialise together.
Each seat is meticulously crafted and features hand-stitched Italian leather and satin rose gold finishing and will be complemented by a new food and beverage concept, introducing a menu that offers a host of new dining choices.

In addition to the existing decadent ‘dine on demand’ service, the new Business Class menu will now offer a selection of snack ‘sharing dishes’ available throughout the flight, allowing travellers to turn dining at 35,000 feet into a social experience. A wake-up Express Breakfast will also be available for those who choose to sleep a little longer by making the most of the ‘Do Not Disturb’ option available on the door of their private Q Suite.

Qatar Airways also recently announced a partnership with The White Company to provide exclusively-designed cotton Business Class sleeper suits and with luggage brand BRIC’S to provide new bespoke amenity kits featuring products from Italy’s Castello Monte Vibiano Vecchio.
Time to start saving those air miles.
