Audio innovator KEF adds new tech to its iconic compact speakers with the new LSX II Wireless System.
Let’s be honest, most of us in Asia live in relatively small homes, which means that space is a real commodity. Not everyone can or wants to have large base speakers even if they love coming home to great sound. Fortunately, audio gurus KEF continue to innovate with their new LSX II Wireless System.
Following on with the recent launch of the brand’s LS system, the new LSX IIs offer compact yet eye-catching speakers with plenty of punch. Envisioned by renowned industrial designer Michael Young, the new speakers are versatile and relatable in every way. Featuring the new W2 wireless platform, comprehensive connectivity options, the KEF Connect app and extensive streaming possibilities, the plug-and-play speakers off a minimum of fuss when connected to everything from a TV or desktop, to a laptop, console, or turntable.
The new LSX II also feature some of the brand’s pioneering technology to create high-fidelity audio, including a specially designed version of KEF’s 11th generation Uni-Q driver array to disburse sound around the room evenly; and an advanced Music Integrity Engine optimised for the Uni-Q driver that delivers a perfectly timed performance for better clarity and a tighter, more accurate sound.
The two-speaker box approach also allows music to develop and breathe in a space, generating a three-dimensional soundstage. The speakers appear to disappear, leaving you to become fully immersed and drawn into the experience.
In addition, the latest KEF Connect app provides instant control over the speakers from the palm of your hand. Once the speakers have been unboxed, the app offers an intuitive on-boarding process to ensure a simple set-up, while easy connection for streaming, control and settings gives you the ability to personalise your audio and adjust the LSX II to best suit your home.
LSX II is available in five statement finishes: Mineral White and Lava Red models and are finished with matte satin and high-gloss spray respectively, while Carbon Black and Cobalt Blue are clad in a specially designed fabric from Danish contemporary textile designer, Kvadrat.
For something truly special, the Soundwave by Terence Conran Edition was one of the iconic British designer’s final collaborations. The version sees the ‘soundwave’ pattern woven into the unique Kvadrat fabric complemented with Conran’s signature blue on the speaker port and driver for a true statement.
