If you like your camera gear like your gritty street photography, this new Leica M10 in bold grey might be your next shooter.
These days it’s not enough just to have a camera that takes great images – the camera system itself has to be a work of art itself. Fortunately, if you dig monochromatic art, the new limited-edition release from Leica just might be the addition to your camera bag you’re looking for.
A bold interpretation of the brand’s iconic M10, the Leica M10-P Bold Gray is limited to just 60 pieces globally and comes with a hefty price tag of €14,500 (US$16,550).
With the functionality and chic design lines of the M10 as its base, the camera comes with a Summicron-M 1:2/35 ASPH lens, with the whole package painted in anthracite grey. This special coating is robust against environmental conditions, while also making the Bold Gray conservative and inconspicuous.
All visible metal parts of the camera are made of solid brass. Small details, such as the release button made of red anodized aluminum or the operating elements, which are cross knurled on the sides and specially made for this series, turn the M 10-P Bold Grey into a one-of-a-kind collector’s item.
The Summicron-M 1;2/35 ASPH lens is produced with state-of-the-art technology and includes the typical round sunshade, which, along with both front and back caps, are also in brass.
