If you fancy yourself as a mixologist you’ll have the chance to learn from the best with guest shifts and classes with Jeff Bell at PDT Hong Kong.

Proclaimed as one the Best American Bartenders, Jeff Bell, general manager and owner of the famed Please Don’t Tell New York (PDT NYC), will visit the bar’s one-and-only overseas franchise, Please Don’t Tell Hong Kong (PDT HK), at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong next month. From March 3-6, 2023, Jeff will host exclusive guest shifts and an interactive PDT Sunday School with PDT HK’s Head bartender Daniel Valencia to celebrate the hotel’s 18th anniversary and create extraordinary flavours for local cocktail enthusiasts to savour.

Recognized as a globally renowned bartender and spirits professional, Jeff, who is also director of bars for Legacy Records, has over 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry, and held nearly every position before eventually finding his calling behind the bar. In 2010, Jeff started working at New York City’s PDT in the East Village and began managing operations in 2014. Throughout his tenure at PDT Jeff has earned numerous awards and accolades and was named American Bartender of the Year by Tales of the Cocktail in 2017. 

If you've always fancied yourself as a mixologist you'll have the chance to learn from the best with Jeff Bell's guest shift and classes at PDT Hong Kong.

During his visit to Hong Kong, Jeff will join Daniel for four guest shifts, creating a medley of the bar’s new inspiration and statement signatures. Guests are invited to embark on a journey of discovery with original PDT NYC cocktails and to savour the uniqueness between the two PDTs’ flavours. A few of the highlights are the Mezcal Mule, the Paddington, and Benton’s Old Fashioned from PDT NYC; Be a Fan, Wonka’s Tonic, and V.S.O. Tea from PDT HK, together with a lineup of new creations by Jeff including Black Tie, Green Mamba and Suntory Time Machine, the perfect accompaniment to PDT’s irresistible signature hotdogs and bites.

Guest shift seating is available from 5 pm until midnight; guests can also challenge themselves for the more engaging, knowledgeable PDT Sunday School Class (priced at HK$498 per person) on March 5, 2023, from 4:30 pm to 6 pm, which includes a tasting session, and a make-your-own cocktail experience with these two remarkable mixologists, with drinks paired with signature PDT hotdogs.
