Since the XK120 of 1948, sports cars have been integral to Jaguar’s heritage, the culmination of this rich lineage being the F-TYPE – winner of more than 170 global awards. Now, in celebration of 70 years of Jaguar sports cars, the F-TYPE range has been enhanced by the addition of the Chequered Flag Limited Edition.
There’s always been something about Jaguar’s sports cars that makes them stand out from the pack. Love em or hate em, you’ll always recognise one when it purrs past, and one of the marque’s most iconic models has to be the F-Type. Now Jag-lovers can take things to the next level with the Chequered Flag limited edition coupé and convertible models, which include Chequered Flag badging, and unique branding on the headrests, tread plates and a dark brushed aluminium centre console finisher.
Other additions to the limited run models include Windsor leather interior with embossed red or cirrus-stitched Performance Seats; ebony suedecloth headlining; and steering wheels with red top centre markers. There’s also the Touch Pro infotainment system which now comes with a 10-inch touchscreen and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity; rear and front parking aids; 20-inch Gloss Black wheels with Diamond Turned finish; and the choice of 300PS four-cylinder, or 340PS and 380PS supercharged V6 engines.
All engines are matched to eight-speed Quickshift transmissions and send drive to the rear wheels, or – in the 380PS models – the choice of Jaguar’s all-wheel-drive system with Intelligent Driveline Dynamics.
