Japanese streetwear brand EVISU and heritage luggage gurus Globe-Trotter have created a striking new capsule collection.
We also love with when the innovative, the creative and the inspired collaborate, putting their heads together to create something that’s even better than the sum off its parts and which we can all benefit from. It’s its latest global collaboration – and these guys have a lot of friends – British luggage brand Globe-Trotter has tapped EVISU, a coveted fashion brand started in Osaka in 1991 and famed for its black denim, to decorate a carry on case, limited to 100 units, for the bold fashionista.
Globe-Trotter has been creating iconic cases since 1897. With all luggage and travel accessories handcrafted in Hertfordshire, England using traditional skills and machinery, the brand is known for its patented vulcanised fibreboard, which is exceptionally tough and resilient.
In fact, in 1912, an experiment was conducted at the Zoological Gardens in Hamburg in which a one-tonne elephant rested its entire weight on a Globe-Trotter suitcase without breaking it. Former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill was a fan of Globe-Trotter, as are contemporary celebrities such as David Beckham, Kate Moss, and Emma Watson.

The EVISU x Globe-Trotter 20-inch Carry-On Case combines one of the classic styles of the luggage brand and printed canvas with street-inspired graffiti elements. Details such as EVISU’s logo, the iconic seagull, and the Ebisu motif add a playful spin to the design.
The case is secured with leather fastening straps to underline the vintage spirit of the British marque. Every detail is well thought out, including the numbered leather plaque and customised Globe-Trotter key.
