Ifuru Island Maldives has opened as a luxurious new haven for jetset adrenalin junkies.
If you’re looking for the sun to last a little longer as we head into winter, or if you’re looking for a new take on adventure, there’s a new haven opening in the Indian Ocean. Ifuru Island, located on the stunning Raa Atoll, combines the classic Maldives offering – sun, sea and seduction – with the benefits of a private airport and a host of adventurous activities.
In addition to an indulgent Xanadu Spa, bars and restaurants, and 147 luxurious beach suites and villas, the new all-inclusive resort is home to the first permanent skydiving dropzone in the country.

The resort has teamed up with 21k-jump World Champion skydiver Will Penny to offer captivating skydives over the atoll between November and the end of March.
If your idea of adventure is more aquatic, you can slip breath the waves to dive on coral reefs, home to several shark species; hit the breaks on some of the Maldives’ best surf spots; or let the trade winds do their thing with a spot of kiteboarding.

When your heart has done thumping, make for one of the hideaway’s six restaurants and four bars, which include the a la carte The Waterfront, which serves fresh Asian dishes with an infusion of Mediterranean flavours and South American notes; and Palm Grill, a rustic grill steak house that also serves locally-caught fresh fish and vegan creations to tantalise tastebuds.
