Packed with dynamic design and inspiring art, Fusion Original Saigon Centre injects a sense of contemporary vitality into the heart of Ho Chi Minh City.
The first Fusion Original property is one that hit the Saigon hotel scene with a bang thanks to captivating colours, elaborate light installations and a curated collection of funky contemporary Vietnamese art (you’re going to love the lobby’s pink British bulldog) that punctuates every luxurious corner of this District 1 hotel.
Who’s it suited to?
You’ll want to check-in here if you’re at all interested in seeing the city’s major sights or tapping into its vibrant and often eclectic nightlife scene, the major hubs of which are all walking distance from the hotel. It’s also perfectly suited for those well-earned weekend escapes.
How’s the location?
You really couldn’t ask for more. Occupying 10 floors of one of the city’s most iconic commercial buildings, the design-driven hotel is literally in the heart of thriving District 1, and steps from the Opera House, Ben Thanh Markets, and the Notre Dame cathedral. You’ll also a short walk from the clubs, pubs and parties of Nguyen Hue Street and Bui Vien Walking Street.

How about the rooms?
The hotel’s playful, bold aesthetic extends to the 99 guest rooms, each of which is dressed in honey-hued wood and bronze. My room has everything you’d need, from a work desk with leather chair in caramel leather, a deep soak tub, a day bed in slate grey, a Marshall Bluetooth speaker, and a minibar laced with local flavour (there’s also a Refresh Pantry with cookies, fruit and a coffee machine on each floor).
You’ll see plenty of little details that set this hotel apart from those of the big international brands, from the bronze circular window of the bathroom to the sublet parquet cupboards and the warm intimate lightening.

How about the dining?
If you’re a foodie, you’re going to love the Miss Thu restaurant on the 24th floor, with its staggering cityscape views. Designed to tell the story of the city’s evolution through the life of central character Miss Thu, the expansive restaurant is flooded with natural light and given a pop with intriguing murals, wall collages, and a ceiling design inspired by the traditional nón quai thao straw hat.
Here you’ll feast on contemporary takes of Vietnamese classics, from Bun Thit Nuong, Iberico pork, with fried scallop spring roll, rice noodles, and Vietnamese herbs; to Blue crab ravioli with fennel, and a crab Phở emulsion.

How about facilities?
The hotel shares an expansive outdoor swimming pool on the 6th floor with the adjacent Sedona Suites and it’s a space where the city’s beautiful like to work on their tan lines. If you’re needing to work up a sweat, the hotel also offers guests access to a California Centuryon Fitness centre only steps away.
What shouldn’t we miss?
If you’re killing time before your flight or before check-in, head to The Nest, a dark and seductive lounge where armchairs, bespoke spa treatments, and a selection of contemporary local snacks and great Saigon craft brews ensure the Fusion Original experience lingers just a little longer.
