Having trouble deciding if you should brave the ice of Antarctica or make for the plains of Africa for your next big adventure? The new Adventure to the South itinerary allows you to do both in one unforgettable trip.
Few destinations are as captivating or as contrasting as Africa and Antarctica. It’s only natural that you want to visit them both. Fortunately, a new collaboration between safari lodge operators Singita, One & Only hotels and Antarctic specialists White Desert makes doing just that easy.
The limited-edition 11-night Adventure to the South trip, departing November 18, 2019, takes guests from South Africa’s Kruger National Park to the icy expanses of Antarctica. An adventure of a lifetime, this unique itinerary offers a spectacular cross-section that includes Africa’s iconic animals and Antarctica’s vast emperor penguin colonies.
The partnership between Singita and White Desert is more than just an opportunity to experience these iconic destinations up close. It’s also an opportunity to work with two leading tourism companies, each of which is doing its part to protect the planet. Both companies are founded on a passion and commitment to preserving the environments they operate in. Singita has been helping conserve African ecosystems for more than 25 years, while carbon neutral White Desert operates a zero-impact policy.
This epic journey includes four nights at Singita Kruger National Park and two nights at One&Only Cape Town. From there, the White Desert private jet whisks the intrepid to Antarctica\. There, remote Whichaway Camp is your home for the next five nights.
You’ll rub shoulders with polar scientists and try your hand at cross-country skiing and ice wall climbing before jetting back to civilization. All for a cool US$67,000 per person.
