Rolls-Royce has unveiled the Adamas Collection, a limited-edition darker iteration of its Black Badge Wraith and Dawn marques.
There are Rolls-Royces, and then there is the Adamas Collection. Drawing inspiration from the name, meaning ‘untameable’, ‘invincible’, and ‘diamond’, the Adamas Collection celebrates the darker side of contemporary craftsmanship, expertly weaving a dark aesthetic of unbreakable carbon structures into just 40 Black Badge Wraiths and 30 Black Badge Dawns.

Fusing the extraordinary craftsmanship of Rolls-Royce with the rebellious spirit of its Black Badge series, each Adamas Collection auto is a singular statement on and off the road, complete with a striking Black Badge encrusted with laboratory-grown black diamonds, and its iconic Spirit of Ecstasy transformed in machined carbon fibre.

The colours of the first iteration of Rolls-Royce Black Badge – Mandarin Orange interiors for the Dawn and Cobalto Blue interiors for the Wraith – have spread to the exterior of Adamas. Darkened versions of these hues envelop the body in a hypnotic Aphrodite Red over Black and Morpheus Blue over Black two-tone respectively. These colours, as though touched by darkness, have a deep colour transition, providing a mesmerising iridescent effect.
Below, black grille vanes are added to the already darkened grille surround of Black Badge, underlying the sinister, untameable nature of Adamas.

The dark, brooding persona extends to the dashboard, with its black-diamond encrusted clock and Black Badge symbol. Mounted upon a carbon fibre back-plate, the black diamonds are perfectly engineered to deliver exquisite clarity and colour. In addition, the face of the clock is embellished with machined aluminium chaplets and a polished aluminium inner bezel, adding dramatic detail to the contrasting white face.

The diamond theme continues on the starlight headliner of the Wraith Adamas, where 1,340 individual fibre optic lights are configured, presenting a motif reminiscent of a powerful spine running through the interior cabin. Add to this pearlescent effect leather, a Collection Car debut, a two-tone steering wheel, a new dark brushed metal fascia, designed to correspond with the carbon fibre, and rich woven black leather on the door panniers and transmission tunnel, and you have a car that just wants to be bad.
A little like you.
