The Glenlivet takes whisky enthusiasts on a journey of discovery with the launch of two limited expressions – The Glenlivet Code and #646 Single Cask Edition.
Crafted by Master Distiller Alan Winchester, who spent 40 years honing his craft, the limited duo offers a unique take on The Glenlivet’s complex character.

Released without cask information or tasting notes, the limited-edition The Glenlivet Code, like The Glenlivet Cipher of 2016, encourages whisky lovers to build a deeper understanding of single malt and The Glenlivet as well as to be a whiskey master.
“This year’s limited edition is a labyrinth of flavors that will test the senses of even the most discerning whisky drinker and we’re excited to invite consumers to take the ultimate test,” says Winchester.
Presented in a rather mysterious matte black bottle, and inspired by the iconic British code breakers, the latest limited release is crafted from specially selected casks to produce a new, never-before created single malt scotch whisky, offering an immersive tasting experience for whisky fans, who can try their hand at a digital decoding game in anticipation of the release of the nose and tasting notes at the end of the year.
If you prefer to know what you’re sipping, The Glenlivet #646 Single Cask Edition is drawn from a single ex-sherry oak cask picked for its exceptional quality from The Glenlivet reserve. Celebrating the concept of the single cask, The Glenlivet #646 Single Cask Edition has been bottled after 15 years of maturation, at 58.7% cask strength and without chill-filtration to offer the purest expression of The Glenlivet style.

Look for sweet spice, baked orchid fruits, cinnamon, creamy raisin fudge, and marzipan on the nose, followed by rich plum jam, toffee apple, and vanilla custard on the palate, and a long, sweet dry finish.
