Following in the wake of the new Carrera Heuer-01, the backbone of a new collection, Tag Heuer has released the Tag Heuer Carrera Heuer-02T, a chronograph in titanium and carbon fibre.

The only COSC-certified automatic chronograph with a tourbillon produced by the Swiss watch industry for under 15,000 CHF (US$16,000) – although the limited-edition Black Phantom version is a little more at 19,900CHF – the new Heuer-02T was developed directly from the DNA of the CH-80 chronograph, used as a basis to interpret two of traditional watchmaking’s most famous complications: the chronograph , and the aesthetically pleasing tourbillon.
The resulting timepiece features an automatic winding mechanism and a lightweight, hand-crafted, flying tourbillon, inspired by that of the Monaco V4, that delivers a power reserve of over 65 hours.

The Heuer-02T’s movement is housed in the latest generation case. Made from grade five titanium, ensuring the case is lighter and more shock-resistant than ever before, the case is complemented by a black alligator strap sewn onto rubber, ensuring it boasts TAG Heuer’s signature refined, yet sporty look.
The piece is also waterproof to 100 metres…on account of the alligator.
