Off the sauce and on the metaphorical wagon? You could make do with nice soda water or you could be sipping cocktails made with Seedlip, an innovative non-alcoholic ‘spirit’ instead.
You’ve probably noticed a real movement towards low or no ABV drinks as people steer towards healthier habits, especially during balmy summers. Forged from the dilemma of what to drink when you’re not drinking alcohol (a phrase the brand has actually trademarked) and don’t fancy the likes of soda, water or juice, Seedlip, the world’s first distilled non-alcoholic spirit, is now available in Asia.

Made from a six-week maceration, distillation and filtration process that distils each botanical individually, Seedlip is blended and bottled in England, where it’s already offering a flavourful alternative to gin in the country’s favourite mixer.
Sugar-free Seedlip is available in two expressions; gin-like Seedlip Garden 108 captures the essence of the English countryside with sophisticated top notes of handpicked peas and hay (two of the botanicals sourced from founder Ben Branson’s family farm) and a complex herbal base of spearmint, rosemary and thyme.
In contrast, Seedlip Spice 94, which can double for whisky when paired with the right ingredients, is aromatic with touches of All Spice berries and cardamom, as well as lemon and grapefruit peel, followed by long, bitter finish, which sounds far nicer than the usual morning-after regret.

Of course, Seedlip has been closely followed by other brands also producing alcohol-free spirits, including Lyre, and Ritual Zero.
