Omega gets in on the Winter Olympics excitement with the release of the limited-edition Seamaster Planet Ocean PyeongChang 2018 timepiece.

Omega is already waving the flag for next year’s Winter Olympics, to be held in South Korea, with the release of the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean PyeongChang 2018 Limited Edition, a striking and slightly controversial timepiece that captures the watchmaker’s rich Olympic heritage, which dates from 1932.

Limited to – you guessed it, 2,018 pieces – this unique commemorative watch is bold and unashamedly modern with its red and blue stripes, taken from the colours of the South Korean flag. Following the release of the Seamaster Aqua Terra “Pyeongchang 2018” Limited Edition in 2016, the new Seamaster Planet edition features a blue ceramic dial graced with SuperLuminova-filled hands (which glow blue as well), a uni-directional dive bezel in polished blue ceramic, and an Omega Liquidmetal diving scale.
