Iconic rock band The Rolling Stones has created Crossfire Hurricane, its own signature rum, inspired by the opening lyrics of their hit song Jumpin’ Jack Flash.
It seems there’s a flow to things in the world of music – get discovered, go platinum, and create a luxury spirit for your audiences to sip while they rock to your specific style of groove. It worked for Metallica, Bob Dylan, AC/DC and Kiss and now those legendary old rockers, The Rolling Stones.
The Stones’ love affair with rum began in the ’70s while recording their album Goats Head Soup in Kingston, Jamaica. The Caribbean’s boisterous energy and music took hold of the group over the decades and Mick Jagger and Keith Richards often locate themselves on the islands when the band is off the road.
Available online to coincide with the global album launch of their newest album, Hackney Diamonds, the band’s first studio album in 18 years, Crossfire Hurricane is a premium spirit created in partnership with Universal Music Group and Socio Ventures.
Rooted in rock & roll, Crossfire Hurricane encapsulates the edgy and timeless spirit of the band. This precisely blended spirit includes rum aged for up to five years in charred oak barrels, giving it a golden hue and imparting a depth of complexity and character that makes it ideal to sip on its own or stand out in a wide variety of cocktails.
This precisely blended spirit boasts flavours of caramelised bananas followed by a gentle hint of tropical fruit making it an essential for winter cocktails and fireside LP sessions.
