Rosewood Phnom Penh has opened in the Cambodian capital, starting its own little luxury renaissance that’s sure to reverberate across the city.
Nestled in the iconic 39-story Vattanac Capital Tower, the country’s highest building, which is prominently located in the city’s central cultural and business district, these chic new digs boast breathtaking 360-degree views, best enjoyed from one of the 138 beautifully-appointed BAR Studio-designed guest rooms (and even better from one of the 37 suites), spacious, contemporary spaces with subtle touches of timeless Khmer culture.
The new Rosewood Phnom Penh is also home to some of the capital’s most innovative new dining outlets. Designed by Tokyo’s Bond Design Studio, the four dining venues include the Brasserie Louis on level 35, which presents classic French comfort foods and regional Cambodian favorites; The Living Room, a residential-style retreat with a relaxed vibe and cozy corners; Iza, a Japanese izakaya-style restaurant serving robata-yaki and irori charcoal grill dishes; and Sora – translated as “sky” from Japanese – the highest bar in Phnom Penh.
Don’t worry, you’ll be able to burn off all that indulgence at the fitness centre, or on one of the hotel’s curated experiences, guided cultural excursions that bring the city’s hidden corners to life.
