Plymouth gin is set to tackle the aperitif market with the Plymouth Fruit Cup, its most floral spirit to date.
When it’s summer and the mercury is rising, you’re going to need a long refreshing drink (or two) to keep you cool. The English knew that and during their fleeting but beautiful summers, they perfected the fruit cup (also known as the summer cup), a long tall respite from the heat, laced with gin, herbs, spices, botanicals and fruit.

You’ll soon be able to save yourself the preparation hassle with the arrival of the Plymouth Fruit Cup, a bold and refreshing fruit punch from one of the oldest gin distillers in the British Isles.
Bottled at 30% ABV, there’s a little less kick than a straight gin, as well as different ingredients than Plymouth’s previous attempt at this fruity iteration back in 2003.

The gin-based liqueur, which is riding the wave of gin’s newfound popularity, makes for a great base for sangria, fruit punch or even highballs, and while the gin gurus suggest maintaining tradition and simply topping up this delectable libation with lemonade or ginger ale and plenty of ice, we don’t think they’d be averse to a touch of cucumber or mint as well.
