So, you fancy becoming a filmmaker do you? Well, best to start small and compact before you scale up to a full crew. Fortunately, DJI has you covered with the Osmo Pocket.
When we think DJI we usually think drones – the brand has pioneered and defined the consumer drone scene with the likes of the Mavic and Spark, but they also do a tidy line in stabilised cameras and the company’s newest addition, the Osmo Pocket, is a new essential for fans of the moving picture.
The Osmo Pocket camera is a pint-sized three-axis stabilized wonder that can shoot 12MP stills and 4K video up to 60fps. Super portable at just four inches tall, the camera features a 1/2.3-inch sensor, dual microphones and two hours of battery goodness.
Your budding film work will be aided by the likes of FaceTrack and ActiveTrack, which allows the camera to follow subjects on the move, while you can get your creative juices flowing with Timelapse and Motionlapse modes, as well as four and nine-image panoramas.
Get a little more involved with Pro Mode, which allows you to take additional creative control over output, and connect your smartphone via cable to double as a monitor.
