Shorthand for “experiment”, which is essentially how the Nike Sportswear designers adapted performance running features into a lifestyle shoe, the new sneaker also bears the internal code for the original Nike React technology, which the EXP-X14 features in its midsole, ensuring cushioned comfort all day.
A nod is given to the sneaker’s performance DNA with the number N3546, which is printed on the medial side and represents Steve Prefontaine’s fastest mile (3 minutes and 54.6 seconds). However, with its translucent upper, this shoe is more a modern take on the Nike Zoom Drive, a running shoe from the late 1990s.

A more modern touch comes from the exposed TPU plate, which cuts across the midsole and tapered heel emulating the Nike Zoom Vaporfly 4% shoes worn by Breaking2 athletes.
