With music, food and fun on both land and sea, The NextWave Beach Carnival in July promises to be the party we all deserve.
Nothing screams summer more than dancing on the beach with your favourite acts performing your favourite songs, with a cool drink in your hand and the sand between your toes. Capturing that vibe to a tee this July, Hong Kong will finally get her first-ever beach carnival.

The NextWave Beach Carnival will be a two-day-long coastal festival (July 29-30) for the masses (the capacity will exceed that of Hong Kong Stadium’s 20,000). The city’s largest-ever beach party – both in size and number of attendees – the Discovery Bay event will see non-stop musical performances by over 20 acts, including cantopop, rock bands, EDM and hip-hop artists from Hong Kong, Taiwan and more. These include Jay Fung, Nowhere Boys, Hur, Instinct of Sight, Crowd Lu, JB, Strayz, Revery; Rachel Lau, and DJ Sidtrus.
Over 30 luxury lifestyle brand collaborations, ranging from art jamming to high-end wining and dining, will also be adding glitz and glam to the carnival, which is being organised by the Yiu Wing Entertainment Group.
The event will also see a specially built waterpark featuring slides and various water toys, and you can even take a kayak out and enjoy tunes spinning from the Ocean DJ Booth. For those who enjoy the finer things in life, over 40 yachts are up for exclusive rental around the bay, so you can party it up in the comforts of your own gin palace or in one of 70 VIP spaces prepared by yacht charter gurus NextWave Yachting.
