Every now and then, a man’s required to pull out all the stops to impress. If that need strikes while you’re in the Lion City, you’ll be covered with the opening of the brand new Mott 32 at Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands.
Singapore is the fifth outpost for this slick and sexy Chinese restaurant concept that originated in Hong Kong with the Maximal Concepts restaurant group. The brand also has equally impressive locations in Vancouver, Seoul and Las Vegas.
They say if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, and that’s exactly the case with Mott 32 Singapore. The latest opening stays true to the brand’s DNA with timeless Chinese dishes adapted for modern tastes with progressive cooking techniques, an exceptional mixology program (so you can enjoy a real drink while you eat) and high-end interiors that’ll set the tone for a night to remember.
The menu turns up the heat on dinner by sourcing the best ingredients from around the world to create authentic Cantonese, Szechuan and Beijing dishes. Signatures like Apple Wood Roasted Peking Duck, Barbecue Pluma Iberico Pork Glazed with Yellow Mountain Honey, and Crispy Triple Cooked Wagyu Beef Short Ribs are as visually impressive as they are appetite-satisfying.
Spiffy interiors have been created by award-winning interior designer Joyce Wang, who also saw the equally opulent design of all the other Mott 32 restaurants. Paying homage to its location, Mott 32 Singapore incorporates local foliage and flora into the brand’s trademark East-meets-West style of chinoiserie backdrops, black and green terrazzo and hand-painted lanterns.
The restaurant occupies plenty of space – 7000sqft, to be exact – so there’s a good chance you’ll be able to have private conversations without being overheard. Though for intimate meals and special occasions that require a little more privacy and style, the restaurant also has a private dining room.
