Promising a silky smooth ride and plenty of power, British brand Bo is about to go into production of the Bo M ‘micro-mobility vehicle’.
Scooters have taken the US and Europe by storm and we’re increasingly seeing them on the streets of Asia’s largest cities as savvy lads and ladies turn away from public transport and driving has-guzzling cars and towards mobility autonomy that’s also green.

Scooter manufacturers Bo, founded by minds from Williams F1 Advanced Engineering and Jaguar Land Rover, is all set to go into production of the revolutionary Bo M, the company’s new electric vehicle for city riders, which promises the smoothest and most stable ride of any vehicle in its class.
The Bo M has been engineered for production with hundreds of design advancements to bring more performance, reliability and quality, all within a form that stays true to the Bo M concept revealed last year. The Bo M design showcases a focus on robust and intuitive features, including Bo Safesteer technology to create a smooth and stable ride, as well as category-leading motor torque and power ratings, and functional innovations to deliver the most sophisticated riding experience.

The Bo M benefits from a 100% increase in the chassis strength, and an increase in peak power output from 1000W to a category-leading 1200W, while there’s also been further developments with the lighting system, with the maximum headlight power increased to 800 lumens, the addition of automatic temperature control, as well as signature start up and power off light animations. The main chassis section has also been retooled, increasing the width for improved ergonomics and battery capacity, which means more range and a more comfortable stance when riding.
Safesteer technology, a first in micro-mobility vehicles, is a patent-pending dynamic steering stabilisation system that’s fully integrated within the Bo chassis, and which assists and stabilises the steering through bumps, dips and potholes to keep the rider in perfect comfort and control. Developed around the opposing forces of a pair of bespoke wound torsion springs, housed within a unique Bo mechanism that delivers predictable steering correction up to a 50 degree turn angle, the system works to recreate the natural centring dynamic of a larger wheel and smooth the ride to give Bo riders an exceptional experience every time.

Forged from high-strength aluminium, the Bo M’s chassis is the first unibody structure in this sector, and its design allows for the steering to be separated from the chassis, forming a robust mounting point for the Lock and Load cargo solution whilst also providing a strong and stable platform for Bo riders.
The Bo M also features a wider handlebar at 580mm, a generous 930mm wheelbase for more standing room and relaxed riding handling, and a 76 degree steering angle for naturally controlled dynamics.
And the result? The Bo M has a top speed of 35km/ph and a range of 50 kilometres, with impressive hill-climbing abilities (Bo is based in hilly Bristol) and a precision throttle for controllable acceleration.
