Davidoff continues the tradition of limited releases of its coveted Winston Churchill cigar rage with the arrival of The Traveller.
So you’re a man who likes a cigar but you’re also a man of the world, one who regards travel as the ultimate means to seek inspiration, titillation and…invigoration. Davidoff’s newest release might as well have your name on the side.
Limited to just 8,000 boxes worldwide, The Traveller is a complex, multi-origin 50×5-format Robusto packed with flavour from Nicaragua, Mexico and the Dominican Republic. Released alongside a range of limited-edition accessories that include two humidors, an ashtray, a cutter and a cigar case celebrating Winston Churchill’s passion for travelling, The Traveller follows in the wake of The Original Collection and the more intense The Late House, the industry’s first Scotch cask-aged blend.
The Traveller provides multi-layered notes of wood and earth at the start, soon followed by sweet and spicy flavours. In the second-third, palate-pleasing stimulations of sweet creaminess develop, with elegant notes of coffee, leather and hints of cinnamon spice, along with notes of pepper and nuts in the retro-hale. The cigar ends with intensified complex aromas of wood and leather, complemented by salted caramel notes in a delightful taste experience inspired by Winston Churchill’s rich character and the key places that marked the man’s life.
This unique cigar comes in a beautiful box inspired by leather travel cases, and which includes a Boveda humidification device that turns the case into a travel humidor that will allow aficionados to embark their favourite cigars on their next journey.
The icon applied to the cigar boxes reflects some of the key places that marked Sir Winston Churchill’s path, including London, Washington, and Marrakesh.
This icon is also applied to 4,500 limited edition packs of five Corona cigars, available exclusively at select Duty-Free locations worldwide. While strength and flavours are the same, the aromas are slightly more intense due to the smaller ring gauge.
