Converse has tapped celebrity LA tattooist Dr. Woo to Re-envision the iconic Chuck 70.

Hollywood tattooist Dr. Woo, who has inked some of Tinseltown’s leading names, has established a cult following for his inspirational designs and razor-sharp technique.
Now, the good doctor has lent his creativity to Converse’s iconic sneaker. An ode to the height of Chuck Taylor innovation as a basketball shoe in the 1970s, the Chuck 70 is a silhouette that Dr. Woo has worn throughout his life. Describing them as “always relevant to me,” Dr. Woo says he used to “draw all over Chucks, tear ’em up. I tried to hold on to old pairs, but they always seemed to vanish like my youth…”
Dr. Woo’s take on the Chuck 70 features a unique embroidered spider’s wed motif that adds depth and detail but which will also help the shoes develop their natural patina through wear.
