Bringing one of the world’s leading fashion brands to one of China’s most dynamic cities, the Bulgari Shanghai has opened this month just minutes from the iconic Bund.
So, you rather fancy a weekend away in vibrant Shanghai and you want to ensure you’re staying in the heart of the action. Perhaps you need to be looking at the label at the back of your lady’s sexiest gowns?
Part of the Foster + Partners-designed Suhe Creek project, the newly-opened Bulgari Hotel Shanghai boasts stunning Pudong panoramas from its 82 Patricia Viel-designed guest rooms, which include 19 luxurious suites.
Balancing the heritage architecture of the century-old Chamber of Commerce Shanghai building with the contemporary lines of a 48-floor tower created by Italian firm Antonio Citterio (the hotel takes pride of place across the top eight floors), the Bulgari, which is just minutes from the Bund and famous cultural institutions, also features a collection of sublime residences.

Far more than just a chic place to rest one’s head, the new hotel is also home to some of Shanghai’s most coveted new dining experiences. Be sure to leave time for a bite at rooftop eatery Il Restorante – Niko Romito and Il Bar, as well as La Terrazza, a venue that’s sure to seduce the city’s glitterati – just in case you decided to travel stag.
There’s also exquisite Cantonese fare at Bao Li Xuan, and, for when you’re working your way back to the surface after a Shanghai night out, a 2,000sqm Bulgari Spa and fitness centre.
