The first camp for Asilia Africa in the Selous Game Reserve, Roho ya Selous is an intrepid first step for the company into southern Tanzania.
When true Africa aficionados talk safari, the talk Selous, and for good reason. One of the largest faunal reserves of the world, Selous Game Reserve is a pristine 50,000sqkm UNESCO-protected sanctuary in Tanzania’s south that’s carefully managed to ensure it stays that way. That’s where the likes of Asilia Africa come in.

The company’s newest camp, Roho ya Selous, features just eight-tented suites, each equipped with ensuites with flushing toilets, luxurious linens, wifi (for those oh-so-important social media updates), and an innovative “evening breeze” cooling system above beds – the camp even has a swimming pool to help you cool off between game drives.
However, you’re here for the wildlife, which you’ll encounter on daily activities, which range from insightful boat safaris and fishing excursions to the more traditional game drives and guided walks in search of elephants, antelope, and leopards.
