Want to have the big Thanksgiving dinner at home but don’t want to have to endure the bloodbath of City Super during the festive season or facing dining restrictions at restaurants? These Hong Kong restaurants are offering great Thanksgiving delivery options.
Thanksgiving is a funny little celebration. While there’s controversy around its origins, it’s become a universal (or near universal) celebration of togetherness. Think about it, how many seasonal comedies are based around the struggle to get home to loved ones in time for Thanksgiving? Probably more than there are for Christmas and certainly more then there are for Chinese New Year, both more heavily subscribed to celebrations. Thanksgiving is laced into our popular culture, it’s a truly American celebration (even the Canadians do it on a different day) and yet it’s known around the world. It’s about friends, family, good food, turkey comas, drunk uncles, sprouting cousins, introductions and remembrance, and a sense of communality that helps bind us, especially when the meal at the centre of the celebration is hosted at home.
So, with that in mind, here are some of the best Hong Kong Thanksgiving delivery options for the aspiring armchair cook.
