Talented mixologist Gagan Gurung has launched a new cocktail menu at Hong Kong’s ZZURA inspired by the seven seas.

Inspired by the enchanting allure of the seven magical seas, including the Persian Gulf, Mediterranean Sea, Aegean Sea, and more, the new Seven Seas menu at ZZURA features seven unique cocktails, each expertly crafted to encapsulate the essence of each maritime environment.
Gagan and his expert bar team at the sultry speakeasy – the creation of Singular Concepts – have meticulously crafted each innovative elixir to reflect the unique flavours and cultural heritage of each regions, using a variety of spices, herbs, and fruits to create an unforgettable drinking experience.

For example, the Indian Ocean is a skilful blend of Indian herbs, including a subtle touch of the ubiquitous betel leaf, the allure of coconut rum, and the flavourful punch of pineapple and lemon – you’d think you’ve been whisked away to the spice markets of Chennai.
The Persian Gulf is infused with the enigmatic spirit of Zerzura by marrying the exquisite flavours of Rose oolong gin, sumac, fig jam and fresh lemon juice, resulting in a sweet, fresh and floral essence of a spice blend traditionally used in Iran.
For those seeking a taste of the European sun, the Mediterranean Sea combines the distinct taste of anchovy with the robust notes of tequila and mezcal, with pineapple and lime adding a refreshing twist that captures the vibrant essence of the riviera.
