If you like to live life at full volume, Sony’s new XG500 speaker will ensure you have the power at your fingertips.
There are times to be quiet, and there are times to make some noise, and if you’re a lad who likes to embrace the latter, then you’re in luck with the arrival of the new Sony XG500 speaker, a powerful yet relatively compact device that great for both indoors and outdoors use.

Specifically designed to provide a powerful and wide-spreading sound across any music genre, the new speaker uses innovative X-Balanced speaker units with non-circular diaphragms (are you getting all this?) that deliver more sound pressure and less distortion while two front high-efficiency tweeters combine to give users what Sony describes as a “powerful party sound”, which doesn’t sound too bad, especially when combined with passive radiators that reproduce clear bass.
If bass is what you’re after, the Mega Bass feature allows you to dial up the thump while a Live Sound mode creates a live concert in any setting, and that includes the great outdoors thanks to an IP66 water-resistant and dustproof rating and water-repellent mush construction. We suspect you’ll also love the XG500’s new ambient lighting patterns, which can be customised depending on your mood and the occasion.
The new speaker’s long-lasting battery ensures the party doesn’t need to end until you want it to and an innovative Battery Care Mode stops the speaker from reaching 100% charge to increase the lifespan. You’ll also be able to add a microphone or electric guitar for those jam sessions and link the new speaker with devices via Bluetooth and USB.
