A new collaboration between Reimagine and Hong Kong-based artist Elphonso Lam has produced a series of unique Femme Fatale whiskies.
There are probably two styles of whisky we’re likely to find in your collection. There are those drams that you’ve sourced because of the quality of the liquid, the pedigree of the distillery or its location, and then there are those that present a unique opportunity for collectors. A new collaboration between Reimagine and Hong Kong multimedia artist Elphonso Lam is a unique addition to any fledgling collection.

Inspired by Femme Fatale and the evolving, forward thinking attitudes of women in Hong Kong, the new collection consists of four malt whiskies, all sourced from Scotland, three of which have been aged in rare Spanish sherry oak casks. Lam has created eye-catching labels for each release, with the central characters of each representing iconic styles popular in Hong Kong over the decades.
These styles range from an elegant yet sexy woman in a traditional cheongsam from the 1960s; and a sweet young girl mimicking Japanese pop culture style from the 1980s; to an energetic millennial in a perfect little black dress kicking off her spectacular nightlife; and a futuristic woman with avant-garde style.

But what about what’s inside? The whiskies have been cherry-picked for their diversity; Poised Seduction is a 19-year-old sherry butt matured blended malt with compound flavours of dried fruits, dark chocolate and worn leather that’s limited to 100 bottles.
Limited to 100 bottles, the Vivacious Ardor was matured by The Glen Grant Distillery for 23 years and features a combination of fruity and floral aromas with an inexplicably rich body; while Glamorous Provocateur is a 14-year-old single malt from the Scottish Highlands, with an amber hue and touches of sweetness and creaminess that’s limited to 120 bottles.

Finally, also limited to 120 bottles, the Audacious Protege is a South Islay dram matured in Pedro Ximenez sherry barrels for seven years, resulting in a full-bodied palate with touches of sweetness.
