Delivering refined yet authentic Italian cuisine, Venédia has opened in Central Hong Kong as the city’s first grancaffè.
Ahh Venice, one of Italy’s most romantic and elegant cities (when the cruise ships aren’t in town). Who can forget those iconic scenes from films like Don’t Look Now, The Wings of the Dove, and of course, The Talented Mr Ripley, a film that had as much impact on sartorialists as it did on film buffs.

The the first of two summer openings by Octavo Management, the group behind one Michelin-starred Octavium and modern yum cha restaurant Nove, Venédia is a luxurious new eatery that captures the elegance of Venice’s own bygone era.
Like Venice’s most popular grancaffès, Venédia will evolve through the day, from a vibrant morning coffee stop to an aperitivo essential and a dining destination in its own right.
Under the guidance of Venetian designer Antonio Zuppati, Venédia epitomises the magical aesthetics of a ‘grancaffè’ thanks to custom white marble terrazzo flooring and hand blown turquoise Murano glass chandeliers, velvet banquettes, luxurious Poltrona Frau leather chairs, and baroque-inspired paneling. The result is a grand yet intimate space that transports diners to the piazzas and palazzos of Venice.
Of course, Venédia promises more than just good looks; Octavium culinary duo Roland Schuller and Bjoern Alexander will use the new eatery as a canvas on which to showcase their contemporary creativity with season-driven menus that are both inspiring and approachable – think hand-rolled pastas, hearty hinterland dishes, and house-churrned gelato.
