Created by two young local distillers with a passion for artisanal spirits, Two Moons craft gin launches in Hong Kong.
So you like your spirits boutique these days? Completely understandable. While the big brands have seen us through times both good and bad, there’s nothing better than an artisanal spirit with a sense of place, produced by a team with passion and dedication rather than massive marketing budgets. It’s also never been easier to reach for locally produced spirits, with the market seeing a host of new vodkas, gins, rums, and even moonshines, the newest of which is Two Moons, a gin that captures the spirit of the Fragrant Harbour.

Like a true craft set up, every part of the Two Moons gin production process takes place at the company’s Chai Wan distiller, from distilling, naturally, to botting and labeling.
The resulting Two Moons Signature Dry Gin, which is produced in 100 bottle batches using a beautiful, custom-built copper still named Luna, is a complex yet silky spirit laced with notes from its 12 botanicals, one-third of which are of Asian origin. There’s dried tangerine and fresh lemon peel, pink peppercorn, and even vanilla pods from distant Madagascar.

The gin can be sampled during a tour of this inspiring distillery, which, you’ll be happy to know, also has a sustainable ethos at its core, with all waste from the distillation process turned into fertilizer that’s donated to urban community farms.
Just another way this gin will make you feel good.
