The new TK-01RR e-bike by Ducati and Thok looks as good on the street as it does screaming down the mountainside.
When we’re talking mountain bikes, we’re talking some pretty hardy tech. You’ll be looking for a bike that can take life’s tumbles in its stride, one that won’t cave at the crucial moment, leaving you flying through the air and up the proverbial creek without the proverbial oar. Instead, we suggest you invest in a mountain bike that’s built to not only tear down the mountainside but look good doing it.

Fortunately, Ducati and e-bike gurus Thok had exactly the same inspiration (you might not know this but Ducati was making motorised bicycles back in the 1940s). The new TK-01RR, based on Thok’s TK-01 model, has a distinctly unsexy name for a bike that’s as stylish as it is well-engineered. Geared towards the challenging e-bike-based e-enduro circuit (yep that’s mountain biking with an electric motor), the e-bike is made from the finest components possible, including a magnesium-encased Shimano EP8 12-speed drive unit (one of the lightest on the market), Shimano XT piston brakes, new 180mm Ohlins RXF 38 forks, and 170mm TTX rear shocks, also by Ohlins.
In addition to the 85Nm of torque, and a 630Wh battery, the new bike’s compact Shimano EP8 motor can be linked to an E-tube Project app that allows for unrivalled customisation.

However, just because this bike is designed for true daredevils doesn’t mean it won’t also look great on your daily commute. There are distinctive Ducati motorcycle design elements, including small fenders and smooth machined lines, as well as a bold colour scheme that will turn all the right heads.
Time to rewrite those New Year’s resolutions.
