Looking for an excuse to combine the Maldives, Sri Lanka, and Thailand in one private jet trip? We think we have what you’re seeking.
So you might have noticed the private jets are no longer the sole domain of NBA stars, captains of industry, and shady government intelligence outfits. Hotel groups are using private jets as the ultimate way to link destinations where they have properties, offering travellers a seamless vacation they won’t have to share with the masses.
Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas is the latest to go private with the launch of the Anantara Private Jet Experience, an incredible voyage of discovery around the Maldives, Sri Lanka and Thailand. Combining stays at two luxurious retreats – Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas and Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort – with the pimp-tastic convenience of private jet transportation on either a Citation X or Gulfstream V, the new experience is offered in conjunction with bespoke aviation specialists Mjets.

You’ll leave Thailand’s City of Angels for a quick yet champagne-soaked flight to Colombo where a limo is waiting to whisk you away to a private villa at Anantara Peace Haven Resort (above), an unexplored paradise located in Tangalle on Sri Lanka’s southernmost shore. Here you can embark on an Ayurvedic wellness journey, tackle the island’s top surf breaks, and dine on sustainably sourced cuisine, brought from farm to cliff side table by a private chef.
As soon as a fleeting hint of restlessness takes hold again, summon your jet (arms crossed and a nod should do it) for the quick sprint south to the spectacular Maldives, where you’ll swap your jet for a seaplane for the 45-minute flight to the luxurious Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas (below) and your overwater villa, which features a two-tiered deck with shaded swinging daybed, dining area and ocean hammocks above, and a sunny lower deck with loungers and steps into the lagoon.

You control your itinerary in paradise; take the plunge with a dive safari into a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, snorkel with mantas and whale sharks, stargaze at the only observatory in the southern Indian Ocean, or capture stunning sunsets from your perch at the resort’s rooftop cocktail bar.
The Anantara Private Jet Experience can be tailored to suit each guest’s individual tastes and requirements and scaled to accommodate couples through to larger groups.
