We’ve watched tablet computers make significant strides but the new M1 iPad Pro just might be the tablet to rule them all.

Apple is a brand whose devices have shaped the way many consumers interact with the world around them. Think about how ubiquitous the iPod once was or the iPhone is now? You can’t walk into a cafe anywhere in Asia without a bevy of faces looking up from shiny Apple Macbooks and any design savvy office worth its salt seems to be armed with ranks of iMacs.

Dubbed the ‘most powerful and advanced iPad Pro ever’ (which you would kind of assume) the new 12.9-inch iPad Pro features a new Liquid Retina XDR display that offers extreme dynamic range; an ultra wide front camera that’s linked to a new Center Stage feature that keeps users framed when they’re on video calls; up to 2TB of high-speed storage as well as Thunderbolt expansion; and best of all, cellular models are 5G ready.

There’s no doubt that the iPad Pro is ready for work thanks to advanced video conferencing features, its powerful 8-core CPU, 8-core GPU, and 16-core Apple Neural Engine, an advanced image signal processor; an all-day battery life; and Thunderbolt connectivity that allows for faster storage and even high resolution 6K external monitors. Yep, there goes your home PC.

But at the end of the day, it’s an iPad, which for most users means entertainment and communication and a four-speaker audio system, pro cameras with LiDAR Scanner (which helps keep things sharp in low light), including a TrueDepth-enabled 12MP ultra wide front camera, and a super slim yet durable design means this is likely to be your new everyday companion.
