Automobili Lamborghini, in collaboration with whiz kids at MIT, has presented the Terzo Millennio, a concept car that will blow your mind.
When we were kids, we often thought about the future – not in the ‘how am I going to invest my pension’ or ‘will Viagra give me palpitations?’ way we do as adults, but with a free-spirited, anything-can-happen whimsy where the impossible seemed truly plausible. Fortunately, the design gurus at Lamborghini and MIT haven’t lost their child-like innocence.

The new design concept, named the Lamborghini of the Terzo Millennio, is packed with the design and technology theories of tomorrow while sustaining the visual intrigue, breath-taking performance and visceral emotion found in every Lamborghini.
Addressing the supercar of the future through five different dimensions – energy storage systems, innovative materials, propulsion system, visionary design, and emotion – the Terzo Millennio is the car of the third millennium, at least on paper.
In addition to the use of supercapacitors to store the power needed to surge the sleek Terzo Millennio to tremendous speeds (a concept the marque has already worked on during the development of the V12 Aventador), this futuristic ride features state-of-the-art carbon fibre construction, with the body shell not only doubling as a power storage device but also boasting the ability to self-heal; an electric engine within each wheel, allowing for whole new levels of performance and agility; and game-changing aerodynamics.
