After a four-month transformation, Singapore’s Tanjong Beach Club reclaims its throne on Sentosa’s pristine sands.
If you’re making a beeline for Singapore or call the Lion City home, a lazy weekend jaunt to Sentosa is likely on the cards. Now, with the return of the island’s most iconic beach club, you have even more reason to close the laptop, don the Ray-bans and make for the coast.
Since its 2010 debut, this Lo & Behold Group icon has epitomised seaside sophistication. The relaunch unveils a mid-century modernist aesthetic by Sydney’s Akin Atelier, blending terracotta, orange, and sunlit yellows with a neutral palette.
Local artist Aeropalmics’ Seed & Shore mural, textured with real sand, and This Humid House’s tropical cacti infuse a Singaporean sensibility, evoking a touch of Miami and Palm Springs glamour in the Lion City’s favourite playground.

Fluid spaces shift from relaxed daytime lounging to high-energy evenings, with curated events fostering connection. The club’s design adapts to the day’s rhythm, offering intimate corners for quiet reflection or lively dance floors for barefoot revelry. Native flora and modernist touches create an immersive escape, balancing urban edge with coastal freedom.
The iconic infinity pool, framed by palm trees and custom daybeds, anchors the club with sage and white checkerboard tiles, adding an ever-changing play of light and water. The Dining Room hums with the warmth of the wood-fired grill, while the main bar, accented with breeze blocks and terracotta-hued loungers, invites guests to sink into languid afternoons.

The culinary programme, crafted by head chef Mong Zhen Yew (ex-Osteria Mozza, Spago) with Vallian Gunawan, centres on a Mibrasa grill, where ironbark, binchōtan, and applewood impart smoky depth. Standouts include the Smoked Hokkaido Scallop Aguachile, blending citrus and smoke, and the Dry-aged Barramundi, enriched with tomato vierge and caperberries. The Wood-fired Half Chicken, marinated in red mojo, pairs with yoghurt crema and shishito peppers, while sharing plates like the Coppa & Cantabrian Anchovy Tartine on Echire-buttered sourdough and the Lobster and Tabbouleh with pomelo shine will sate the appetites of the masses.
The beverage menu dazzles with Champagne magnums, such as Gounel-Lassalle Esprit Voyageur, and a curated wine list tailored to the coastal cuisine. Cocktails embody bold flair: The Tanjong Coast fuses Hendrick’s gin with guava, while Mai Tide melds pandan-infused rum with coconut and Weekend at Margie’s mixes tequila, Aperol, and passionfruit, helping the venue transition seamlessly from sunlit afternoons to vibrant nights.
