Tag Heuer explores new athletic territories with its latest addition to its smartwatch lineup, the Tag Heuer Connected Sport Edition.
One of the first luxury watch brands to embrace the smartwatch concept, Tag Heuer launched its first Tag Heuer Connected watch back in 2015. Since then, the Swiss watchmaker has established itself as a key player in the luxury connected watch segment, expanding its range and becoming a reference, particularly in the golf community. With the new Tag Heuer Connected Calibre E4 Sport Edition 45 mm, the watch brand expands its offer to all committed athletes.

Thanks to its new functions and redesigned strap, the Tag Heuer Connected Calibre E4 Sport Edition 45mm can monitor any sporting activity with an even wider range of data. With the release of a software update planned for mid-February, Tag Heuer has taken the opportunity to launch a new Trail & Hiking application for runners and hikers who love the mountains and going higher and further than anyone else.
This new Sport Edition is distinguished at first glance by a new strap that is more than just aesthetically pleasing. The use of rubber enhances the wearer’s experience in action, while the bracelet also features two colour patterns with a fine mesh, an innovation that allows the skin to breathe better. The strap of Tag Heuer’s latest Connected watch is also equipped with a pin buckle, which avoids movement during strenious exercise.

The Tag Heuer Connected’s in-house developers have added a new feature for this new edition: the fine-tuned use of the barometer makes it possible to track the gradients of sporting activities, a function that is very much in demand among Tag Heuer customers. This new feature is based on the potential of the Tag Heuer Connected Caliber E4 that powers its latest generation of connected watches.
Taking advantage of the barometer, the new Trail & Hiking activities feature changes the main metric to Altitude Gained, allowing the user to monitor their efforts during the session. This will also be available for post-session analysis on the TAG Heuer companion mobile app, so that the wearer can review their pace and how the altitude affected it. An additional screen exists to allow the user to track their altitude and see the minimum and maximum altitude during the session.

The last element to facilitate sports activities: the steel crown is now topped with a rubber insert on all 45-mm models, making it easier to grip. Demanding sports enthusiasts will greatly appreciate this new feature, as the rubberized crown can be used even with wet hands.
The TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 Sport Edition 45 mm has a black sandblasted titanium case, and the same material is used for the bracelet’s pin buckle. Titanium makes the watch lightweight and offers a refined style to a very sporty watch. The ceramic bezel further emphasizes the Connected watch’s polished look. The new watch is available in red, orange and blue.
