When Size Matters

Looking for an action camera that’s big on features and small in stature? We think we know what will top your birthday list. The Sony RX0 II will be your favourite present this year.

Camera, they just keep getting smaller, more compact, and more powerful. This is great when you’re heading out on an adventure and don’t want to sling a DSLR around your neck like a yokle visiting the Grand Canyon or Paris for the first time. Small means you can be yourself, while enhanced performance means you can make lasting memories without having to play photographer.

Ultra-Compact Travel Companion

Of course, there’s small, and then there’s the RX0 II, Sony’s newest premium ultra-compact camera, and the world’s smallest and lightest. The new RX0 II offers internal 4K recording, an up to 180-degree and down to 90-degree tiltable LCD screen that works underwater, and new image stabilisation solutions meaning you can shoot on the run.

The newest addition to Sony’s highly popular compact camera line-up, the RX0 II is waterproof, dustproof, shockproof, and crushproof. At the heart of the tiny camera is a 1.0-type stacked 15.3-megapixel Exmor RS CMOS image sensor and an advanced BIONZ X image processing engine that offer enhanced colour reproduction, including beautiful skin tones.

Built to Last

This power-packed combination has been optimised to deliver lightning-fast performance and exquisite image quality for both stills and movie shooting across a wide sensitivity range of ISO 80-12800. In addition, the ZEISS Tessar T* 24mm F4.0 fixed wide-angle lens has a shortened minimum focusing distance of 20cm, making it perfect for selfies or table-top photos.

Sony RXO II

Made for shooters who don’t want to fuss around with expensive and fragile camera systems, Sony says the RX0 II is ‘worry-free’. Measuring just 59mm x 40.5mm x 35mm and weighing just 132g, the RX0 II is pocket-friendly, inconspicuous and perfect for documenting life’s little adventures.

Crystal Clear Video on the Go

Expect high-quality 4k video with reduced moiré and jaggies that can easily be sent to social media channels thanks to the  Sony Imaging Edge mobile app. You can also fill in slow motion at 1,000fps, while up to 5 RX0 II cameras can be controlled wirelessly using the Sony app.

You’ll also get great stills thanks to an upgraded Eye AF system, an anti-distortion shutter with a speed of up to 1/32,000 sec. and a burst rate of up to 16 fps, while the optional ‘Soft Skin Effect’ can be applied to cover minor blemishes and wrinkles when taking portraits of selfies.
