British tech company Nothing reveals tantalising details of its first smartphone, the minimalist phone (1).
You will be aware of how much we use smartphones today. Chances are, you’re reading this article on a handphone of some description, a creative bit of kit that combines telecommunications with GPS, entertainment, photography and a host of other features. However, all those features can weigh down modern smartphones and make them sluggish. That’s where Nothing comes in.
The second product from British tech company Nothing, after the launch of its Nothing Ear 1 earbuds, the phone (1) promises a whole new smartphone user experience. Built for seamless connectivity and defined by an iconic design that potentially includes a transparent case, the phone (1) runs the company’s own operating system, Nothing OS, which will ensure that it effortlessly connects and integrates with other Nothing products as well as those from other world-leading brands.
While the company has been rather tight-lipped about the phone’s specs, its Nothing OS takes the best of Android and distils it down to an operating system with just the essentials, where every byte has a purpose thanks to a coherent interface, bespoke fonts, colours, graphical elements and sounds.
