A new staycation from Sheraton Hong Kong Tung Chung and Hong Kong Airlines lets you reminisce the days of international air travel.
So most of us are not flying anywhere anytime soon but that doesn’t mean that our wanderlust, or our fascination with the travel process itself, has died. If you’ve found yourself gazing up at the sky as a Cathay flight departs for parts unknown, caught yourself checking your phone as you stand outside your own bathroom, or delighted loved ones by plating your Deliveroo meal on little plastic trays, a new experience from Sheraton Hong Kong Tung Chung might be the fix you need.
Available every weekend from July 10 until August 29, 2021, the new experience, which includes accommodation, transfers and selected meals at the hotel, kicks off with a chance to learn the secrets to an exceptional inflight meal experience at the Gate Gourmet kitchens. The visit includes observing the preparation process of inflight meals, learning how to beautifully plate a meal inflight, and a slow cooking class demonstration.
Guests will spend the second day at HKA Training Academy where experienced trainers from the carrier will lead a special tour that showcases state-of-the-art aviation training facilities, including a cabin mock-up and the swimming pool used for safety training.
Aviation enthusiasts and those chasing the pilot dream can also look forward to a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit one of the centre’s advanced flight simulators.
You never know, it might be the start of a whole new career.
