Hip hop lovers rejoice, as Rolling Loud, the world’s largest hip hop festival, descends on Hong Kong October 19 & 20 for its first time in the city.
Rolling Loud Hong Kong will be held at the Art Park of the West Kowloon Cultural District and will bring some of the world’s hottest hip hop acts to a city that could certainly do with some release right about now.
The first-ever two-day outdoor hip hop festival to be held in Hong Kong, Rolling Loud was originally started in Miami in 2015 and has quickly grown; this year the festival will also take place in Los Angeles and New York, and Miami with the likes of J. Cole, Future, Lil Wayne, A$AP Rocky, Travis Scott, Young Thug, Post Malone, Migos, Cardi B, Kendrick Lamar, Kodak Black, Lil Uzi Vert, 21 Savage, Lil Yachty, and Lil B gracing its stages.
After notable Chinese artists, including Bridge, K Eleven and JO$H, members of the leading Chongqing rap/hip-hop music label GO$H, and acclaimed “Hip-hop Poet” Jony J performed at the Miami event earlier this year, organisers realized that hip hop in Asia was on the rise, leading to the Hong Kong event this month.
At the Hong Kong event, look out for headlining acts including Wiz Khalifa, Suicide Boys, Playboy Carti, Sup Music and Ski Mask The Slump God.
