The newest meeting of the minds is from luggage brand Rimowa and auto giant Porsche, two German brands steeped in heritage and design street cred. The companies have created the Rimowa x Porsche Hand-Carry Case Pepita, just in time for borders to reopen, finally. The new limited-edition collector’s case brings together the singular expertise of the two historic German companies, each known for their rigid and undying pursuit of perfection.
Crafted in Rimowa’s signature, unrelenting grooved aluminum, the hard-carry case draws inspiration from the first generation of the Porsche 911 – the 1963 Porsche 901 – as iconic an automobile on and off the track as you’ll ever find. Handily enough, if you happen to own a Porsche, you’ll find the case is designed to fit perfectly in said stead’s slender boot, thanks to a wheel-free design.

With a TSA-approved lock and accented in high-gloss, the case’s silver mirror finish speaks of the first Porsche 901s, an effect that’s complemented by black leather straps in crest-shaped holders in a homage to traditional hood straps.
Morning than just good looks, the new case boasts a zipped u-pocket and an x-strap assembly inside, as well as houndstooth pepita fabric (hence the name) with black leather accents and the Porsche crest. A nice touch of the yellow instructional label, similar to those found within a Porsche’s trunk.
