Set to open next month in Hong Kong, Radicalchic promises to deliver contemporary Italian dining, artistic flair, and captivating cityscape views.
When we think about Italian cuisine, we tend to form mental pictures of towering bowls of meatballs and pasta, of lazy alfresco lunches awash with Tuscan wine, and decadent desserts that linger on the palate. Italian is famed for its rustic, home-cooked dishes. However, there’s a distinctly avant-garde side to Italian cuisine, one that’s seen radical innovation over the past decade as a new breed of vitalistic young chefs challenge long-standing conventions.

Opening in August, Radicalchic will be a new canvas upon which teacher, innovator, and Executive Chef Andrea Tarini will present a bold, contemporary interpretation of timeless Italian fare, one that fuses imagination with artistic finesse and lofty vistas.
Located sky-high on the 101st floor of the International Commerce Center in West Kowloon, RadicalChic boasts sweeping city and harbour views, which promise to pair perfectly with Tarini’s refined reinterpretation, which showcases the finest Italian produce and the most modern culinary techniques – many of which he learned at the side of his mentor, acclaimed chef Mauro Uliassi.

If you feel confident navigating your way through Tarini’s creations, opt for the signature a la carte menu, but for a true culinary journey, try the ten-course chef’s degustation, which changes seasonally and allows the chef to take guests on a whirlwind romp through the modern Italian cooking movement, one in which all the senses are engaged.
Your imagination will be suitably stimulated, not just by what’s on your plate but by contemporary interiors and walls adorned with modern art, eccentric wallpaper and radical light fixtures – beginning to see a theme here?
Because it’s always nice to shake things up from time to time.
